What you will learn:
A Computer Reservation system known as a CRS is also called a GDS in some markets. This is a short term for a Global Distribution System. You will learn how to check for airline seat availability, make, amend and cancel client bookings, quote airfares, issue e-tickets and many more travel industry processes – you will actually be doing what Travel Industry Employees do each day while learning a great deal about the airline and agency sectors. Amadeus is most widely used GDS in India but you can also train to use Abacus, Galileo or Sabre if you need to use these systems in your job role.

After Registration:
You will receive an e-mail acknowledging your registration.  Please complete the Student Profile when you register and a receipt for the course fee will be sent to your e-mail address. After your enrolment is processed, (may take up to 24 hours depending on when you register) an Account ID and Password will give you access to the course which is delivered entirely online. Divided topics, lessons, drills and exercises followed by quizes and final assessment to demonstrate competency.   It is important to take each quiz as the questions reinforce the learning process and help you to remember the key learning points. You should complete the material within 3 – 4 months ideally for maximum retention but you have access to the material for 6 months after registration  – at which time your access will expire.  By this time you should have also completed the final assessment tasks. Requests for an Extension:  Naturally, if you have any problems meeting this deadline we will consider an extension, please e-mail the College outlining the reasons for your request.

Qualifications/accreditation/recognition:
Computer Reservations Systems Training has been accredited by VETAB. (NSW Vocational Education & Training Board) On demonstration of competence and successful completion of this Unit of Competency a nationally accredited and industry recognised Statement of Attainment will be issued. This represents credit towards the SIT Certificate III in Tourism (Retail Travel Sales)

What do I need?

Good English Skills and a genuine interest in the Travel and Tourism Industry. Hayton College courses are accessed from a computer using the internet. Basic PC skills along with keyboarding skills are required to complete Hayton College courses.
